Mezko at Newtown Social Club

Mezko headlined Swerve Society with Raindrop and Enjoy on the evening that Tony Abbott was removed from office by his own party. Amusingly, the Coalition were in their party room meeting through their set.

This group is rapidly building a monstrous live show, that rolls on like a kraut-infused dream-psych version of Daft Punk. That’s how it felt on this night. As they finished, Laura announced through vocoder, “Tony Abbott’s not the prime minister any more.”
