Hospital – Stitch It

Hospital’s Describing Bodies LP┬áreleases next Tuesday, June 21 in a limited run of cassettes through Skydreams.

The experimental Melbourne pop group is fronted by Alif Dodds. Their sound is raw and compelling for such a young group of musicians. This record explores feelings of shame, frustration and loss, as well as writing about sexuality and gender.

Live, Alif is joined by a multitude of instrumentalists, including keyboardist Hannah Wales, as well as a rotating cast of musicians.

It makes sense that Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu) had positive things to say upon hearing Describing Bodies, given it’s reminiscent of his early records. There are hints of these similarities on the first single, Daniel, along with Stitch It.

Stitch It video production by Harry Verchuur.
