18: Ravin

Ravin is one of Sydney’s finest MCs, hailing from Bankstown and turning heads with refined lyricism and production that came to our attention with Soulfood EP on Heaps Decent. 95 ’til jumped out from that record and was on high rotation on FBi Radio. I definitely played it on Telepath a good few times.

Just recently, I heard his new tracks Dirty South West, Anakin and 5pm In Redfern. Real dope. When organising the Gaelic Club series for this Thursday, November 10, Ravin came right to mind for a headline spot. Also on the bill, Moody from True Vibenation, Flower Boy and Solidities. Doors from 8pm.

This week’s Playlist comes to you as the United States goes to the polls for a repulsive lose-lose election that involves Donald Trump. Here’s one way to deal with that.

20 tracks from Drake, Bryson Tiller, A$AP Mob, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Twelvy, Key, The Game, Machine Gun Kelly, Jay Z, Big Jaz, Sauce Money, Nas, DMX, Chance The Rapper, Chaz French, GoldLink, Isaiah Rashad, Zacari, Kendrick Lamar, Bas, J. Cole, Logic, Lloyd, Mick Jenkins, Dreezy, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Skepta, Wiley, Yungen and Stormzy.
