15: Volumes

Volumes Festival is returning to venues across Oxford Street on August 26 and 27. The lineup is pretty absurd. Many, many great acts to see.

The list above actually omits the second round announcements, which includes: Buzz Kull, Corin, Felix Lush, Gussy, Jaala, Kato, Kimchi Princi, Low Ton, Makeda, Middle Kids, Morning TV, Privacy, Thhomas, Rebel Yell and Wax Witches.

The Friday is an ingenious mini-festival of electronica and dance. Some of the brightest lights in the country. It’s actually flawless.

Saturday retains electronic elements with acts like Marcus Whale (unmissable), Cliques and Hubert Clarke Jr, but it’s more directed towards bands.

They’ve brought together some of my personal favourites in Terrible Truths, Nicholas Allbrook, Donny Benet, Angie, 100%, Summer Flake and California Girls.

This week’s Playlist is an hour of artists I’m keen to see at Volumes. Tickets are still available here. Attending either night, or both, is a good idea.
